Alice Maddicott is a writer, artist and creative education practitioner from Somerset, England.

Over the past decade her work has spanned everything from experimental poetry to children’s television scripts for CBeebies; from public art commissions to site-specific workshops with young people.

She has published and performed at home and abroad. She currently runs the Young Writers’ Lab for Bath International Literature Festival where she was writer in residence for 2015. She has an MA (hons) in History of Art from The University of Edinburgh and an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University.

Special interests include: memory in relation to place, urban theory, fashion history, imaginary cities, the link between literature and music, found objects, hidden histories and site-specific work.
